Here are some details about this release.  The Announcement Danny Sullivan of Google announced that Google has rolled out the first broad core update on May 25, 2022. The core update started off strong. Before this core update, the latest core update was the Nov 21 core update which is now 6 months old.  It was also noted in the announcement that the May 2022 core update will take 1-2 weeks to roll out fully. It can be expected that the site’s performance in search results will be improved. What is Core Updates “Core updates are changes we make to improve Search overall and keep pace with the changing nature of the web. While nothing is specific in a core update to any particular site, these updates may produce some noticeable changes to how sites perform, which we’ve noted in previous guidance on what site owners should know about core updates,” Google added Core updates are aimed at making the search results more relevant to the users. It includes changes to improve overall search and stay beside the changes on the web. The changes are expected to make search more useful and helpful. It is a significant improvement to the overall ranking processes.     Rumors of the Core Update The SEO community has been seeing indications of rolling out of a potential Google algorithm update since May 16. But Google has not validated these rumors. It may be possible that Google was testing the core update.  John Mueller of Google specifically said for this rumor that “when we announce core updates, we start the roll-out at that point, not beforehand.” When the Update Started The rolling out of this broad core update was started on May 25, 2022, at about 11:30 am ET. Google will update us after the completion of the rolling out of the broad core update. It has been found that periodic refreshes will be done by Google to this algorithm. Google may not announce these updates in the future.   Previous Core Updates  The latest previous core update was in November 2021. And before November 2021, it was in July 2021. Core updates were also made in June 2021. This update was a big one but slow to roll out.  Before June 2021, the core updates rollout was done in December 2020. It was also a broad and big one and took some weeks to complete. The core update rolled out just before December 2020 was on May 2020 and prior to that, there was January 2020 core update. The updates rolled out prior to January 2020 core update was done in September 2019. But this update was weaker for many webmasters and SEOs as they realized that it did not have a stronger impact just like previous core updates.           What To Do For Negative Impact  If you did not get the expected results from the core update and were negatively impacted by it in the past, you can look for advice on what to consider by Google. These negative rankings may be without anything wrong in the pages. However, Google has proposed a couple of questions to consider if your website is impacted negatively by the core update. Google has admitted that a small recovery can be expected between core updates but the expected change you will notice after another core update.  Improvements may not always ensure recovery. However, no improvements can guarantee no recovery.  Why We Care When Google updates its core update algorithms, there may be a chance that your website may perform better or do worse in the search results. Your rankings may fluctuate. The purpose of providing information on Google updates is to enable you to understand if you notice any change, you can find out whether it is due to something that you changed on your website or due to a change in ranking algorithm s=by Google. So, keep a vigilance on your rankings and analytics for the next couple of weeks.

It uses Smart Bidding Performance Max that merges Google’s automation technologies across bidding, audiences, budget optimization,  attribution, and more. They’re all administered by your explicit advertising goals and audience signals, creative assets, and optional data feeds you provide Benefits of Performance Max Campaign Let’s look at the benefits of Performance Max Campaign. Here are some of them. Unlock new audiences across channels and networks of Google with Google’s real-time understanding of customers’ preferences and intent along with your input using audience signals.  Performance Max helps in engaging customers across Google’s channels.  Performance Max provides you the option of customized goals that are important to your business. It maximizes conversion value.    Drive better performance against your goals.  Get more transparent insights Steer automation with your campaign inputs. Simplify campaign management and easily optimize your ads.  Performance Max asset reporting can help you understand which creatives are impacting performance and help you optimize campaign creatives to drive ROI. How to Create Google Performance Max Campaign When you create the Performance Max Campaign, you finalize your goals first. Then, the product feed and store locations are connected based on your goals. Let’s have a look at how to create a Google Performance Max Campaign.   Budget and Bidding  After choosing your objective, you will set your budget. You will also select how your bidding strategy will be. It should be noted that the bidding strategy selection involves max value and max conversion. However, you can also set a target conversion/value or a max CPA so that you can leverage Target ROAS and Target CPA strategies.        Location, Ad Scheduling, and Language After setting your objective and budget, you will set your locations. At present, the Google Ads editor does not support Performance Max. Therefore, setting up the targeting is more tiresome than most campaigns. You need to select “enter another location” if you have a lot of locations to add. The “enter another location” will then expand to include a blank space and an “advanced search” link. You need to click the “advanced search” link to bulk import locations.  Advanced URL Options After that, you need to create URL. Google defines its own final URLs by default unless you control that option off. If you allow Google to send traffic to any link that it feels fit, you do have the option to exclude links, as well. Setting Up Assets Groups After the above process, you will be directed to set up an “asset group”. It is effectively an ad, which will be similar to a responsive display asset. This “asset group” is referred to as an asset group because it works as an asset to all platforms. There is an option of creating multiple “asset groups” for the advertisers.  Informing the Automated Targeting Now you are directed to select audiences to give insights to Google about whom to target. Each campaign only has one set of targeting. Google highlighted the point that “Your ads will automatically be shown to people who are most likely to convert for your goals. You can speed up optimization by providing audience signals.” It means that your campaign may not only be delivered to the targeted audiences. Instead, Google also keeps an eye on the audiences you provide for signals. Your provided data will be used to identify similar consumers that are likely to exhibit the same behaviors and interests. Setting Up Ad Extensions Finally, you need to add your extensions. You can choose to use existing account-level sitelink extensions or opt and create specific sitelinks for the Performance Max campaigns. The campaign will put forward extension formats based on your goals. For example, if your primary goal is lead generation, the campaign will recommend creating a lead form extension. There is also an option of adding price extensions, structured snippets, callouts, call extensions, and promotion extensions.

5 Things to Know Before Running Facebook Ads

Facebook ads are a very powerful and effective online advertising tool. However, it is an underutilized resource. Facebook advertisements can be the best place to reach new clients and customers as Facebook is one of the popular social media sites. If you advertise on Facebook, it means that you are going to reach millions of people.  The sophisticated targeting capabilities of Facebook make it smart and effective. But as there are a huge number of members on Facebook, there are a huge number of ads that can make you pretty less noticeable. As a result, you may not get a meaningful return. So, if you want to reach the maximum audience, make sure to follow these strategies to maximize the meaningful return. Set the Goal for Your Ad It is very important to set your goals for the ad first. You may want to achieve traffic, increase brand awareness, generate new leads, increase sales, promote your product or service, or achieve a particular percentage of conversion. Setting goals is also important to measure the success of the campaign. The goals can be SMART which means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Target Your Audience The next step in Facebook Ads would be deciding who will be your potential customers. Who will be most interested in your offer, product, or service? What geographical location do they belong to? How much they are willing to pay for a product or service? What are their preferences? Nadia Walker Arnold, the co-owner of Barre Forte in Denver said that “It’s important to identify the different types of clients that you already attract and determine which ones you actually want more of,” Deciding the target audience will allow you to focus specifically on those audiences who will be interested in your offer. For example, your offer can be relevant for moms only or generation Z or millennials. You can focus on showing your Facebook ad to those target audiences only for whom your ad is relevant. Again, timing is also an important factor. You need to ensure which time your maximum target audience is most likely to be active. It can be weekends or nights. You can promote your ad at that time to ensure maximum reach to relevant potential customers. Create Your Ad Copy and Images Once you decide who your target audience will be and what you trying to achieve, you need to create an attractive ad copy that should contain images with visual sparkles. Don’t forget to read Facebook policies when creating your ad. Check whether a call to action in your ad is clear, whether images are noticeable, and whether you are adhering to the text rules of Facebook. Before creating your ad, you can audit your competitors’ ad copy to understand what offer they are offering, how they are using images, and what content they are adding. It will help you to understand how you can make your ad more noticeable that stand out from your competitors’ ads. Test Your Ad The next step would be tracking the effectiveness of your campaign. Check where are you sending users who click on your ad. You can also check some pages to check which page results in a higher conversion rate. Facebook pixel is one of the most important ways to do it. It identifies and tracks user behavior once they go to your landing page after leaving Facebook. You can also track the effectiveness of your ad by using Facebook analytics or some other analytic tool.   Know Your KPIs You need to measure the success of your ad based on some key performance indicators (KPIs). You can track it by using the Facebook measurement tool.  You can have a close look at your page’s shares, likes, comments, and shares. The Facebook Measurement tool helps you to identify how many clicks and conversions you are getting.  You can also use Facebook audience insights which is a free tool to understand social ROI. Final Thoughts I hope you find the above information useful. It should be kept in mind that tracking the ROI and success of your ad is more an art than science as many factors play a key role in tracking success. The ROI may differ campaign-wise. Social media ad campaigns continue to rise. You should be tricky and smart while creating, running, and measuring the success of your ad. Absence of XML sitemaps Google search bots use XML sitemaps to understand more about the site pages so that they can smartly crawl your site. Difference Between Black Hat Seo And White Hat Seo

What is the difference between Black hat and White hat SEO?

The practise of increasing the volume and quality of traffic to a website is known as search engine optimization, or SEO. The higher a site ranks in the search engine results pages (SERP), the more visits it will automatically receive. SEO is a popular online marketing approach due to the increasing relevance of search engines like Google. Search engines use proprietary algorithms to establish their rankings, which are kept secret and highly guarded. These algorithms, on the other hand, are based on some well-known principles. Search engine optimization aims to increase search rankings by implementing these ideas. It concentrates on “quick wins” Many black hat SEO tactics are centred on exploiting flaws in Google’s algorithm that can result in rankings boosts with little effort. While some of these strategies work, they are almost always ineffective. This is because Google’s algorithm is continually being improved in order to deliver the best results to searchers and to keep site owners who don’t provide a great user experience from ranking well. This means that black hat SEO sites risk losing their ranks every time Google releases a new algorithm change, making it a considerably more short-term strategy than white hat SEO.
